Oh, where do I start with this one? Everybody's talking about it - AT&T's got a new iPhone app called AT&T Mark the Spot (iTunes link). The purpose of this app is to report network issues to AT&T. That's right, kids, if you're having problems with AT&T you can now report those issues using AT&T's network! But wait, there's more! The app will detect your current position the same way any other mapping app will. This means that when you're indoors you'll be triangulating your approximate position using towers. So an already bad signal makes it tougher. And if there's no signal, what? Does it queue the report? I don't know the answer to that one.
I think the feature I would like most is to be able to enter a location manually. You can drag yourself around a map and find the right location, but sometimes entering an address is just easier.
