Is there no end to this? Sorry, folks. I'd like to write about stuff in the news that's good, positive, or at least not stupid. But I can't help it. Its all just screaming at me.

This article discusses a burglar in Rio de Janeiro who broke into a bar, apparently through the roof, and stole a television. He returned to the scene of the crime Tuesday night, again breaking in through the roof. As if breaking in a second time wasn't bad enough, he accidentally fell and shot himself in the foot. He left, without stealing anything, and went straight home. An understandable tactic, bullets in the foot hurt. But perhaps he should have had the presence of mind to look behind him. If he had, he'd have noticed the trail of blood he'd left that led police straight to his house.

Maybe I should create a Hall of Shame category.
